🇬🇧 La Vila Vella turns the old town of Villajoyosa into an open-air cultural programme. From 11 to 13 September 2026 you will find close to 40 activities spread over the streets of the casco antiguo, the district of coloured houses that holds the status of Bien de Interés Cultural. The town council organises it together with a large group of volunteers, and this year it grows from two days to three.
Friday starts at 18:00 with a photo exhibition on the plaça de l'Església, visits to the Passeig de Ronda, a zip line on the plaça del Castell and captive balloon rides at l'Antoneta. The official opening is at 21:30 and video mapping follows at 21:45. Saturday brings a quick-painting contest, children's workshops, tango, gospel, street art and a vermouth area, and Sunday closes with guided routes and live music at 13:00. On both Saturday and Sunday, between 10:30 and 13:30, the third Open House gives you free access to fourteen historic buildings.
Entry to the event is free. A number of activities cost three euros (two for the Passeig de Ronda) and that money goes to three local associations; for those you register in advance. The information point stands on the plaça Castelar. Leave your car outside the centre, because the streets of the old town are narrow and run uphill, and keep in mind that the TRAM between Alicante and Benidorm stops in La Vila Joiosa within walking distance.

Van 11 tot en met 13 september 2026 vind je bijna 40 activiteiten verspreid door de straatjes van het casco antiguo, de wijk met gekleurde huizen die de status Bien de Interés Cultural draagt. De gemeente organiseert het samen met een grote groep vrijwilligers en dit jaar groeit het van twee naar drie dagen.
Vrijdag begint om 18:00 uur met een fotoexpositie op de plaça de l'Església, bezoeken aan de Passeig de Ronda, een tokkelbaan op de plaça del Castell en ritjes in een luchtballon aan een kabel bij l'Antoneta. Om 21:30 uur is de opening, om 21:45 uur volgt video mapping. Zaterdag staat in het teken van een schilderwedstrijd, kinderworkshops, tango, gospel, street art en een vermout-zone, en zondag sluit af met wandelroutes en muziek om 13:00 uur. Zaterdag en zondag kun je tussen 10:30 en 13:30 uur bij de derde Open House gratis veertien historische panden binnen.
Het evenement is gratis toegankelijk. Een aantal onderdelen kost drie euro (twee euro voor de Passeig de Ronda) en die opbrengst gaat naar drie lokale verenigingen; daarvoor schrijf je je vooraf in. Het informatiepunt staat op de plaça Castelar. Laat je auto buiten het centrum staan, want de straatjes zijn smal en lopen omhoog, en houd er rekening mee dat de TRAM tussen Alicante en Benidorm op loopafstand stopt in La Vila Joiosa.

Del 11 al 13 de septiembre de 2026 encontrarás cerca de 40 actividades repartidas por las calles del casco antiguo, el barrio de casas de colores declarado Bien de Interés Cultural. El Ayuntamiento lo organiza junto a un amplio grupo de voluntarios y este año pasa de dos a tres jornadas.
El viernes arranca a las 18:00 con la exposición fotográfica en la plaça de l'Església, las visitas al Passeig de Ronda, la tirolina en la plaça del Castell y los viajes en globo cautivo en l'Antoneta. A las 21:30 es la inauguración y a las 21:45 llega el vídeo mapping. El sábado hay concurso de pintura rápida, talleres infantiles, tango, gospel, street art y zona vermut, y el domingo cierra con rutas guiadas y música a las 13:00. Sábado y domingo, de 10:30 a 13:30, la tercera edición de Open House te abre gratis catorce inmuebles históricos.
La entrada es gratuita. Algunas actividades cuestan tres euros (dos en el caso del Passeig de Ronda) y lo recaudado va a tres asociaciones locales; para esas te inscribes antes. El punto de información está en la plaça Castelar. Deja el coche fuera del centro, porque las calles son estrechas y tienen pendiente, y ten en cuenta que el TRAM entre Alicante y Benidorm para en La Vila Joiosa a poca distancia a pie.
